We at Upper Cumberland K9 are proud to guarantee the health of all our Belgian Malinois puppies. Our puppies are guaranteed against: Hip Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Heart Disease and Von Willebrand’s Disease.
Once the sale is final, our health guarantee covers your puppy until he/she reaches one year of age. To extend the health guarantee to two years, please make sure he/she receives NuVet Plus Immune System Builder for those first 24 months. We believe in NuVet Vitamins for the health of your puppy to build a strong immune, skeletal, cardiovascular & nervous system.***
All of our puppies undergo a clinical health exam by our Veterinarian for a health clearance prior to being picked up. Our Veterinarian examines their ears, eyes, teeth, heart, lungs, bone structure & overall health. Our puppies are weighed & dewormed, given their first set of shots (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus). We do not guarantee against Giardia or Coccidiosis, which are commonly brought on by stress. We recommend that you have your puppy checked by your Veterinarian within 72 hours from pick up. Should a puppy be diagnosed with anything that is covered by our health guarantee, Upper Cumberland K9 will reimburse the cost of the vet prescribed treatment expenses up to the price of the pup “OR” replace the puppy. Food & Nutrition
We recommend a high-quality, holistic dog food brand such as Purina Pro Plan that has been formulated to meet the specific needs of Belgian Malinois puppies. You can feed your puppy three to four times daily in small meals until they reach six months of age and then gradually reduce it down to one or two meals per day around one year of age.
In addition to feeding your puppy high-quality food, you should also supplement their diet with plenty of exercise. Exercise is essential for puppies to help build strong bones and muscles while keeping them mentally stimulated. You can provide your puppy with physical activities such as running, playing fetch, and walking at least two times per day.
It’s also important to remember that Belgian Malinois puppies need plenty of mental stimulation. This can be accomplished through training, playing interactive games and puzzles, and simply spending quality time with your puppy every day. Doing this will help keep your pup happy and healthy while strengthening the bond between you two.
